Fabulous banner Laurie! I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown |

An impressive banner, Laurie! I love how the curve of snow mimics the fine crop of Sedum. It's OK to Play in the Garden |

Great banner Laurie! Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. |

A refreshing sight, and a great reminder of how living things adapt to what nature gives them. You captured wonderful detail in both the snow and the sedum. ![]() I post high resolution photos (nature, travel, and other subjects) on smugmug https://arctangent.smugmug.com... |

Thank you, everyone. Your comments make me smile--you can put into words just what the picture evokes. ![]() How appropriate that this banner was used today---we just got about 5-6 inches of snow yesterday. I've been getting a good workout shoveling snow yesterday and today. The banner picture was taken in fall after an early light snow. The sedum was bright green in color so I thought it made an interesting contrast. And I love the texture. I hope the foliage remains green. When I bought the plants this summer, the tag simply said "brilliant yellow flowers" and "attractive foliage." It did not say the foliage was yellow. Later I read that this cultivar (Golddigger) has yellow foliage (I'm not a fan of yellow foliage--except as an autumn color). |
