Pink Bougainvillea

"Still going" like the Energizer Bunny, this pink bougainvillea has been in a pot for 25 years, re-potted 10 yrs ago. 😁

Lucky you to have a bougainvillea to live with. Love the banner you've constructed of your 'pet' plant. It's a beauty. Thumbs up

Bougainvillea is a genus of thorny ornamental vines, bushes, or trees. It is native to Eastern South America, from Brazil, west to Peru, and south to southern Argentina. Different authors accept from four to 18 species in the genus. The inflorescence consists of large colourful sepal-like bracts which surround three simple waxy flowers.

Are all over the place here in the Southwest. They are very tough when established, drought tolerant,
and are covered with "blooms", actually specialized leaves, seemingly several times per year.

Thanks Elizabeth. Smiling
We're fortunate to have several, one climbing 12 ft up a magnolia.

This is the same plant as the banner....sorry, don't know the name.

It seems as if she hasn't been on since Oct 4. She didn't even reply to her latest banner on Nov 26.
