A couple years ago I saw a cotton candy bearded iris in one of my catalogs but unfortunately I didn't order it. Now I can't find it anywhere. I would really love to add this iris to my iris garden. Does anyone know where I can find a rhizome? If anyone one this forum has one you could spare, I'd be happy to buy it from you.

Hi Kathy, I hope you can find this iris. I noticed that our plant database lists four irises with "cotton candy" in their name. Do you know which one it is?

It's the TB Cotton Candy Iris. I love the petal and beard color of that particular iris. Unfortunately, I can't find one anywhere.

If you can't find cotton candy (described in the database as a flamingo pink "self") you might want to consider these two pages of pink, tall bearded, pink "self", award of merit winners filtered from our database:

https://garden.org/plants/grou...

I myself have 3 of these: Anna Belle Babson, which absolutely glows flamingo pink, Beverly Sills, a Dykes winner which puts on a huge performance for me every year, and Vanity, a lovely purest pink Dykes Winner. They are beautiful. I hope this helps

Incidentally, Vanity is the ancestor of 180 registered progeny, including Beverly Sills.

Beverly Sills, in turn was a parent of Anna Belle Babson.

Those are great ones, Paul. I don't know why they didn't show up in my filtered results.

You included "Award of Merit" in your search, which eliminated Star Turn, Star Appeal, and Hollywood Star from the results for the simple reason that none of them won that award. Including "Self" in the search eliminated Picture Book and Don't Stop Believing from the results.

That explains it. I had included "self" in the filter because the database described cotton candy as a self. And I included "award of merit" in the filter in order to narrow the resuts from what otherwise would have been 39 pages of tall bearded pink selfs.

Thanks go to Paul for adding these lovely five pink favorites to the list.
