Last year I saw a cool hosta sport on one of my hostas (parent unknown, the plant came with the house). Photo attached. It seems to have at least half of the leaf white (and half-white goes all the way along the stem, too). I separated it and replanted it last fall (after this photo which was taken in August). I am hoping that it might be stable and I will have a cool half-white/half-green new hosta. But I am new to hostas so am unsure if sports often revert back or not. Spring is coming and my hopes are building. Both the observed half-white leaves do come from the same node that I replanted. Advice? Should I be hopeful of getting a plant with half-white leaves?

I've had it on a few, normally they revert, but maybe you will be lucky!

Are you saying this one came from seed or a bud that grew off your plant? Is the parent variegated? The DNA is there but how it presents is anyone's guess.

Yes, the parent is in the the photo (majority of the leaves). Both of the half-half leaves are the sport, connected to the same nodule that I replanted.
