Thank you very much Dave and Plantladylin! I am only about a year late... I had almost forgotten I posted this! Dave- the flowers on this ionantha were the most spectacular shade of blue/ultra violet! Even more stunning in person! IMO, Tillandsias are some of the most under appreciated plants around!

I'm just seeing this one, and it's gorgeous! I have one that I bought a few months ago. It was solid green. A few days ago it turned red, and now I can see a blue/purple bloom spike just starting. It's very exciting, and I hope it will look like yours.

Edited to say that mine bloomed today and it is like yours. My photo just isn't like yours!
