Hello: I stumbled upon your website yesterday and saw reference to the daylily "Vestal Shipman" when I was searching for information about his daylily farm in Tennessee. I had no idea there was a daylily named for him.

Vestal Shipman was my husband's uncle, and in the earlier 2000's my husband drove to Tennessee to Uncle Vestal's daylily farm to buy some of his daylilies for our home here in Texas.

I would like to know if any of you know anything about the heritage of this daylily, or about Uncle Vestal's farm, or if there is a way for me to buy some daylily "Vestal Shipman" plants for our family.

I would love to hear back from you! Thank you so much!

Janie

You can contact the hybridizer, Bob Selman on his website Blue Ridge Daylilies It's an older daylily and he doesn't have it listed anymore but he may still have some available.
