Has someone mentioned this yet? Some of the plants at Lowe's have bar codes. Use your smart phone to scan it and up comes all the details about care and feeding of that plant. Cool, huh?!

I'm still trying to find a good, free scanner app for my iphone.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I use one called Scan on my iPhone, so far it works well and it is free.

Thanks. I downloaded this one & will give it a try.

BTW, I just read you signature line & my DH & I had a good chuckle. Especially since we've had so much rain & overcast skies for the past month.

We've had a couple days of rain and overcast here too. It has gotten down into the upper 60'sf and that means everyone is wearing hats and gloves and ski jackets! I'm always trying to stay where the weather suits my clothes and I don't have any of that winter wear. I was making fun of my 'valley girl' roots with the sig line. Glad you got a laugh.

I have a cell phone, but it's not a smart one that can scan info.

Hope the planting info is still on the side of the pot for those of us with dumb phones.

It's not. I made that comment to a salesperson when I was examining a plant trying to identify it. Everything there was labeled an exotic angel plant. That'swhen she told me to use mmy SmartPhone .

Marilyn, I misspoke. There is plant care information on the back of the tags. But it pretty much says all the same. "easy to grow:, "Fertilize once a month" "Medium water" Medium light" blah blah blah. Nothing like all the information found at the website.

I always like to have the general info on the pot. Height, width, zones, sun amt. and stuff like that on pots when I look and buy pots.

Don't want to have to go to a website and get that info.

I look for the zone, too! That one is important. No zone mentioned on this plant tag. But they do mention their website once or twice and Facebook, too. Then curiously enough, the plant tag says, "Collect all 400 Exotic Angel Plant varieties from around the globe..." Funny.
Are we evolving technically, well, in regards to plant tags, at least??
