I have a log from this, that Im currently drying

Some extra info
The larger one that was cut down had lots of knots and was about 20m tall.
Dark bark. It may have some sort of berry looking fruit(or it was hard and dry, dont remember)

Looks like it could be an Ash leaf maple, Acer negundo

It's not a beech (Fagus); they have simple leaves with a smooth, slightly wavy margin.

These leaves are reminescent of Acer, but the inflorescence not so much...Perhaps a Fraxinus? Do you have a photo of the log?

I vote for boxelder (Acer negundo), as per @crawgarden, who refers to it as Ash Leaf maple. (see above), or some other kind of maple
