Thread OP

Hey Y'all!

Love all your enthusiasm! I wonder if you could help me. I"m living in a cottage in Lafayette Ca, about to seed with heat tolerant blue mix, partial shade. Just ordered a 16" tall garden Buddha to be mounted on a L bracket attached to the center of the fence about 5' up from the ground. I've trimmed out a space for it (see attached pic). I'm wondering what to plant below and to the right side. Thoughts, inspirations?

Welcome!

Sorry for the late response , been out planting garden.

Because of the Buddha I would keep it simple
Maybe a light colored ground cover
Because of zone differences I don't know what you have available there
Something golden and creeping
If you want flowers I would use moss rose (a single color) It is an annual but would most likely self seed in your climate.

Show us a photo when you get it planted and let us know what you did with your space
