I would like to install some deer netting in my garden and I am worried about birds/snakes ect getting tangled in it. Is there a particular size mesh opening I should look for? thank you!

The plastic fencing used for construction barriers, windbreaks, and snow fences works well. I got a roll at an Ace hardware. The commonest color is orange (ugh) but they also had dark green. The lower part of the fence is to keep out rabbits, ground squirrels, etc.
