I walked into my garage the other day and saw water leaking from the bottom of the fridge. I opened to find that two bags of ice in the freezer was completely melted. Checked my seeds and a lot of them had already sprouted. I have no place prepared to plant them, so those will get tossed. The others that had not sprouted I moved to the main refrigerator. No real loss, I have way more seeds than I have room to plant. Hoping to dig two beds of 2019 seedlings after first bloom in the spring to have more room for my 2021 seeds. I do have a new fridge on order. It's only a 4 cubic foot compact type, but that should be plenty of room for my seeds.

I hope you didn't lose something you were really excited about, Larry. Crossing Fingers!

Yesterday, I got distracted and planted two crosses in the same pot by mistake D'Oh!

Well, with nothing to do, I got bored. So I had a nice little bare spot where I did have fine pine bark stored for use in potting my plants. The soil looked great and I thought if I squeezed the seeds in pretty tight I might get all the sprouted ones planted there. I just lined out a row with some stakes and a string, and started planting. I just used an old homemade tool to scratch out the rows and ended up with four nine-ten foot rows of seeds, about 20 crosses. I have no idea how they will do being planted in December, but I thought it worth the effort just to find out. But no, I have yet to grow anything that I feel really excited about, but I keep trying, who knows these might be just the ones I have been waiting on. At least a few of these were more than a named cultivar crossed with another named cultivar. Many of these were crossed with some of my own seedlings.
