Since many businesses suffered great losses during the year of Covid, I figured it might be difficult to find nurseries to sponsor the Not-A-Raffle Raffle.

The nurseries around here were picked clean with stuff flying off the shelves as quickly as they could get it in. A lot of people either took up gardening for the first time, or just had more time to spend doing it, I think. I had a tough time finding much of anything when I went to get plants. Did anyone else notice that in other regions, or was it a local thing? I asked one seller about it and they said that they were having troubles getting stuff from the wholesalers.

I'm the opposite - the pandemic has kept me from venturing too far afield. Haven't visited one nursery this season. I think my rationale is if I have to put on a mask, is the stop really worth it? Mostly no (for me).

My local nursery, Season's, has been busy since last fall. They have a lot of inventory, but do have trouble getting things. They're evenhaving problems with the traditional fall planted stuff as growers sold out months ago with pre-orders.
