Hi everyone, I'm new here. Don't know if there's an "Introduce yourself" thread, if so please let me know.
I would like to hear your opinion about a problem I'm note figuring out how to solve. My pachypodium lamerei is around 4 years old, i brought it in a grocery store. First two years went ok, no problems at all. It was growing bigger, faster through time. Last year I noticed some red-violet spot on its leaves, thought that was ambient condition related because I left it all winter long outside with temperature below 10 C°. After the spring started I did see those spots no more (not sure if this is the correct english to say that). With the hot weather the pachypodium started growing bigger again. This Winter I didn't see any problem about its leaves or else. That said, I think it is obvious that the plant keeps its leaves through winter (losing some of them) and than starts to grow new leaves through spring-summer, as it is the season when the plant grows bigger. This March I noticed its leaves started turning yellow and than fall. I thought that was normal, as the plant was getting bigger so, as it keeps its leaves on the top only, it was getting rid of the older leaves. By the way my plant is placed in a sunny spot, in direct sun-light for 8 hours a day. Till May it went like that, plant was getting really big, it was growing leaves that were bigger than ever. At the start of June I found some firebugs on the plant. I thought they were harmless as the plant is poisonuss. I left the pachypodium alone for a week (I had to go elsewhere for a week), when I came back I noticed that the plant lost a lot of new leaves grown in the last weeks. I don't think it is the firebugs, but I placed the pachypodium inside to observe if the situation changes. By the way those were the oldest leaves still on the plant despite they were only some weeks old. That should let you understand how much fast the plant was growing. Now it is a week that it keeps losing some leaves this way. What worries me is the way the leaves are falling. They are not turning yellow, they start getting brown on the edges, than the leaf become mostly brown and dry to finally fall. I water the plant something like 1 time every two days. I always make sure that the soil isn't too moisty when I water the plant again. What do you think it could be? I'm going t post some pics too. Thank you all if you read all this.
