I do not have this in it's permanent place yet, it will be there this year if we ever get Mother Nature to give us some rain instead of the 4 week drought we're in now, you down south are inundated we up north are starting to get worried. My Daylilies that are suppose to be 50" tall are 24" tall ugh.

Always has bloomed on short scapes here. The color is exquisite, but plant habit leaves much to be desired here.

I gave it a try, after around 4 years it up and died around my garden they get one chance to make live in my climate. I should not have tried a evergreen most do not like our winters, while others just shrug the weather off. I did like the bloom while it lasted here.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!

I planted FF this Spring, in the new Lower Patio Bed, a good location. She bloomed a little, July 5-16, with 6 blooms. They are beautiful! She had 4 fans this October, let's see how the winter affects this Evergreen.

2023 update…so far, so good! FF is up to 6 fans and had a nice bloom season from July 1-26 with at least 12 blooms.

2024 update, FF came through the winter with her 6 fans and bloomed from June 23- July 24 with at least 43 blooms. This Evergreen is doing very nicely in my zone 6b garden, despite nasty freeze/thaw conditions and not much cover. I think I had a thin layer of pine needles on that bed over the winter.
