Gorgeous veggies Rita. I tip my hat to you.

All I have are gourds and grapes (scuppernongs, which is to be expected in the home state of the Mother Vine https://northcarolinahistory.o... ). Neither DM nor I are supposed to eat them but they're just too good not to.

Last night's "Harvest Moon" which marks the beginning of fall (the Autumn Equinox.)

This image was taken through a telescope and involved capturing thousands of frames to reveal the details. But what about the colors? The moon is gray, of course, but not "perfectly" gray. Some areas have a subtle blue tint, and others have a more orange tint. By teasing out those subtle colors, We can reveal the mineral composition of the moon! Blues denote titanium presence, while orange shows iron and feldspar present in the regolith. You can also see how impacts paint the surface with fresh color in the ejecta as they churn up material.

Hilarious! The gourds do look like a bunch of little people surrounding a goose. Nice looking gourds!

I'm always amazed at just how scrumptious the veggie boxes look. You have to understand I don't eat tomatoes, only a tiny amount of ketchup or a few dabs of spaghetti sauce, no peppers or eggplant. I'm an expert at finding peppers and onions and will get every piece out of any food I'm eating. Seeing your beautiful boxes Rita just makes me want to dig into all those colorful yummy looking veggies. I tip my hat to you.

Popping in to let you all know I'll be switching over to the Fall 2021 Porch Swing in the morning. Hard to see summer coming to an end. I'm already grumpy about it being dark at 5:30 in the morning. The shorter days in winter are not something I look forward to. Sighing!

Not hard to see summer end here, Char. If it ever does. Think it was 98 today.
