I've been seeing these mushroom growing kits online lately. I'd love to have one, but the reviews are so mixed. Does anyone have experience with them? I'd really like some fresh shitakis!

Seems like Dave and Trish talked about growing mushrooms on one of their podcasts but then it could have been mushroom compost. Whistling Hopefully one of them will see this and correct me. We love mushrooms and I would love to grow them.. Thumbs up

You're right. They did talk about their mushroom log. I got the impression it's in the early stages so it will be interesting to hear a follow up report.
I garden for the pollinators.

Yes indeed, we are doing a mushroom plug kit from fungiperfect. It was a surprising amount of work to get it started and we only did it about a month ago so we don't yet know if this will work. I will be giving a report when it's ready, which might be a year from now!
