I decided to do these from seed this year. They are the white with pink eye variety, my husband's favorite periqinkle Started out with about 40 seedlings and ended up with 30 viable starts. When they were only 2" tall, I started acclimating them to the outdoors in little pots, in a bright but shady spot on a ledge under my roog overhand. Slowly I moved them to dappled sun of the front of that ledgge. Today, at 4-5" tall, I planted them out in their final destination on my rear driveway in large pots in dappled sun mid-day, full sun on the 2 pots at each end of the row for an hour or so in the AM and again in the PM. May have to play musical pots to get the center pots some full sun once in awhile.
