What are the acorns all about? Is there something we should be doing with them?

We used to have raffles - companies donated gardening products/plants. We 'bought' raffle tickets with our acorns. That hasn't happened in a couple years but Dave had a deal last week to trade acorns for fertilizer.

Well, besides being what grows new oak trees, they are food for squirrels and some birds.....maybe even other critters. They can also be eaten if processed correctly. Some do crafting and make decorations with. https://www.outdoorlife.com/bl.... I think during the Civil War they made a drink akin to coffee from them. You should Google "Uses for acorns" sometime.
