Hello all! Hope you're doing great and your daylilies are keeping you happy!
I just have a question about Amanda's Little Red Shoes daylily. It's her first year I planted and the blooms doesn't look like the seller's pictures. It is much paler and with pretty big yellow edge. Maybe someone has comment on this? Will it improve next year? Also maybe the heat we are experiencing this year also has impact?

If you check the GARDEN.ORG photo gallery you will see that the plant color varies a lot.

It's not uncommon for daylilies to take a year or two to settle in after being divided and moved. Plus, different soils and conditions can also impact the look of the bloom.

Here is a link to the forum's page on Amanda's Little Red Shoes. Maybe you will see a picture or two there that looks like what you are seeing.

If it looks significantly different than any of the pictures there, it does happen sometimes that a seller will accidentally send the wrong plant.
