I've been looking over my iris wish list and so far I have 50 total, narrowed it down to 10 that I really want to purchase.

1. 'Pink Opal'

2. 'Bonanza'

3. 'I Love Lace'

4. 'Accent'

5. 'Beyond Borders'

6. 'Galicia'

7. 'Side Line' the NGA database photo for this iris is a little pixelated
here's a better photo from Schreiner's
https://www.schreinersgardens....

8. 'Jamaican Dream'

9. 'Decadence'

10. 'Dynamite'

Ian, I have Dynamite, and it turned out to be exactly the same color as the red pygmy barberry planted just a few feet away from it. What a perfect match!

Daisy, that is a perfect match. I have red grape vines at home and I may plant 'Dynamite' near it. I'm only getting 'Dynamite' because I've always wanted a red bearded iris.

Royston Rubies is one to watch. In the 2019 Tall Bearded Symposium popularity poll it didn't place in the top 100 at all. Now the results of the 2020 TBS poll show it has suddenly zoomed up to #54! The only red self ranked higher than that is Lady Friend. But Lady Friend has been around since 1981. By contrast Royston Rubies was only introduced in 2017. I'm guessing it may overtake Lady Friend at the rate it's zooming up the chart.

The last one that made that sort of dramatic zoom was Absolute Treasure, and we know how wonderful that one turned out to be! (Oops, Black Lipstick made a similar zoom in 2019. I'm watching that one, too, but it stopped zooming in 2020 and actually dropped down from #51 to #54. )

If Royston Rubies climbs even more in the 2021 poll, I just might have to buy it.

There are many on my want list. Here are just a few I hope to order in 2022:

Two color phases of Ampersand (Donald Spoon):

Lovely looking BB by Donald Spoon:

Chuck Chapman's Forever Royal (Have been trying to get this from Chuck who is in Canada, but shipments from Canada has been difficult/expensive due to Covid restrictions. Crossing Fingers! for next year!):

Hugh Stout's 2019 IB intro Novia (Spanish for "girlfriend"):

Next year I will have to eliminate some cultivars, as I think I've about reached my limit as to how many I can manage! Sticking tongue out

Laurie, I do like how pretty 'Novia' is, and 'Garden Butterflies', 'Forever Royal' are pretty too. I'd plant all 3 of them in the same flower bed together. Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby
