Just to give everyone a heads up, I'll be running a Calla bulb group buy again this year. I just got an email from Pacific Callas, promising a long list of colors available. They'll get back to me in a few days with colors and prices and I'll post them then. Whoo-hooo!! ![]() ![]() |

Ready to go for our group buy for Pacific Callas?? I hope so!! Please let your friends know about the group buy so we can get as many people involved as we can. Pacific Callas said we can split our orders and shipping up if we wish, which is nice! The co-op will close April 12 and I'll be sending in the second order then. If you need to pay later just let me know and I can order your bulbs and hold them until you pay. 6 to 30 bulbs Medium flat rate box $12.35 31 to 60 bulbs Large Flat rate $16.85 You'll be charged the flat rate box when you pay for your bulbs, but when the time comes for me to ship the bulbs to you, I'll try to pack your box in a regular priority mail box, or regional rate box, and find the cheapest shipping I can for you. The excess money will be refunded to you. Out of about 35 people in the co-op last year, only about 5 didn't get a refund. You can pay for your bulbs with check, money order, or PayPal. If you pay by PayPal you will have to pay paypal fees. You can post orders here on the thread or Cmail them to me, Treemail them, or email them lakesidecallas@yahoo.com IMPORTANT!! Please also Tree mail me the following information: Your real name Physical address where bulbs are to be shipped Email address (so you get a tracking number when your bulbs are mailed) Phone number (so I can reach you quickly, not everyone checks Treemail or email every day) Your bulb order (not mandatory but is helpful as double check) Payment Method- Money Order, Check, or PayPal Pot Size Chart: http://www.pacificcallas.com/P... I'm unable to edit the post with the links to the photos, for some reason, but you can see the list of bulbs with links here: http://cubits.org/callalilies/... and photos of all the flowers here: http://cubits.org/callalilies/... Thank you my dear friends for your orders, and for spreading the word. Last year I took out an ad for the co-op on Dave's Garden, but I think we only got one or two orders from there, so I'm skipping it this year. |

Oops, sorry Sassybutt3fly, I forgot to answer your question. Actually I don't know the close date for sure. The California growers have something called Spring Trials, where people from horticulture businesses (writers, growers, sellers, etc) come and look at all the new plants they have. It's a very busy time of the year, Pacific Callas will be cleaning, setting up displays, getting bulbs ready for sale, etc. I want to make sure we get our order in before all that madness starts. As the trials are April 6-11, I hope to get our order in by April 1 but that may be too optimistic. I'll email Peter at Pacific Callas tonight to see what he thinks, and hopefully we can firm up the close date. |

I tell ya, that Peter is so nice. He emailed back about 5 minutes later- how's that for a response from a big company? Here are the emails.... I would like to ask you what you might think a good time to put the order in would be. I know spring trials are coming up and this is a super busy time for you, but I would like to get the order in before then. What do you think? Susan You can place it anytime is best for you. We are not too busy, no worries. I can even ship some partially if you have customers that like to get it in earlier....So, we can cut it in 2 or 3 shipments if needed. This way, you have less of a load coming in at once, and you are more flexible. We have ALL colors available right now for shipping, Regards, Peter So Co-op peoples, what do you think we should pick as a cut off? Or no cut off?? |

Arlene, there is a gardening website called Cubits.Org. This is where you would send C Mail. Here on All Things Plants, you would use the Tree Mail. You can post your order here and then send a Tree Mail to Susan for payment information. |
