I lost all my corn to worms. Before the cobs could fill out, worms got in there and turned the kernels to brown goo.
How can I prevent this next year? I was so looking forward to fresh corn from my garden.
I live in southeastern AZ in zone 8/9. Would it be best to plant now, in early August? We are in our brief rainy season now, but it won't last long. Temps should be in the low to high 90s this month, dropping 10 degrees month by month.
Thank you for advising.
