Here are some March photos from my yard. The first one is from Calif Sue, the second and third are from Bev...the rest from where ever!

Wow, what a way to start my day. Great photos of you NOIDs.
Greg this one sure has an unusual look to it.
Bev I love the close-ups.

Ooo some beautiful pics! Bev I also love your close ups, they would look fab enlarged and framed!
Greg, you have some beautiful colours there
Here are some of my NOIDss that I potted up from those over flowing pots I posted pics of the other day.
The top 2 are in 4 inch pots, one will probably end up on my desk at work. The second 2 are 12 inch pots.

Lynn, those are lovely too! I love the last one of your set, with that pink coloration!
Kate how wonderful that you have some semps that belonged to your gramps! I love when good things get passed down!
What a way to start my day! Procrastinating on ATP!

Kate, that one, first photo, has wonderful watermarkings.

Lynn, I think thats just damage to the outer leaves from being too wet and in shade. I took as many of the damaged leaves off as I could, but was afraid to go too far incase I killed it altogether.
I just hope that a very stressful winter followed by early in the year splitting wont mean that I get lots of flowers before they get a chance to offset.

Love the pictures!!! I'm off to check my NOIDs. Have not been checking the semps for a few days. Break from paper work.

Many of mine are changing now. by the end of March there will be lots of color in the beds, with a succession of cultivars that change later in the spring.
Today is the first time in almost 2 weeks that I have checked my semps. Did my heart good to see them all healthy and happy.

Why not name your NOIDS? I would call this one Sempervivum 'The Streak!'
Mar 3, 2013 9:37 PM CST
These are all Noids. I don't think I could remember all the names I assign to them....
Mar 3, 2013 9:39 PM CST
Bev - That is so beautiful!
Mar 3, 2013 9:43 PM CST
Thanks Clint. So, can I send you a pic of each one and have you name them? I can store the 'name' and photo on my computer...

Some of them look just like photos of plants I thought about ordering today. I swear I saw some of them today.
Seriously though... I'm torn about plant tags and names. I do see the benefit of knowing the names of the plants; however, the tags would ruin the beauty of your planting somewhat. It does bother me though that I have so many plants that I have no idea the name. I think we need some kind of underground tag that barely sticks out of the ground so we can see the name if we want but it goes back down when we don't need to know. LOL.
