Ron, it's lucky that you said that and that I completely forgot about sending your box. I can stick a couple of snippings of that in your box ...when I remember to send it tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, I got completely consumed by my new hummingbird feeder over the weekend and the fact that a hummingbird discovered it so quickly. But it seems to have been serendipitous for you.

The dolphins on my string of dolphins seem to be shrinking.

Pickles is making a few blooms. Wish they were pink or purple. Yellow may not have the same raw beauty, for my very humble opinion, but it's such a cheerful, optimistic color. I'll take it!

It was fun and creative. He laboriously painted each one of those styrofoam balls, then threaded & hot-glued them onto string...impressive! I was pleased that it took only a few seconds before I figured it out!

The dolphins are shrinking. I am confused if it should have more light or less to make bigger dolphins? It's right by a S window, since early November, but I noticed the dolphins shrinking before that. It has been blooming a lot, but has mini dolphins now.

Ron, did the snips I sent take root? I hope so! How big are the dolphins?

I just stumbled on this thread again. Unfortunately, the dolphins didn't survive. Of the 7 plants you sent, 4 HAVE survived (the variegated kalanchoe and coleus went kaput also). Pic below of the survivors, except the snake plant which is still downstairs deciding if it wants to grow.

I did find another one at my local nursery last month that was cheap enough ($7) that is doing great. Started some cuttings with pretty good success. My plan is to put everything in a hanging pot come spring. It is a fun plant.

That is curious. I wonder if light intensity plays a part also. I might keep some inside when I move everything else out this spring and see what difference, if any, it makes. I'm gonna play with the water consumption too. I'll let you know the results.

Fun! I look forward to hearing about it. I should have enough this summer to experiment too. Before coming inside, my dolphin pot was on front porch, facing east. Inside, it's right by a S window that is never covered.

Dolphins bloomed a lot while next to a S window for winter. Now there are a bunch of "dandelion fluffs" but I can't tell if there are viable seeds or not. The dolphins are sooooo small.

The cuttings water prop phenomenally (go figure!) and they are more tolerant to more frequent watering than other strings. I'm quite happy with mine! I've pulled off some blooms to try to grow from seed
