What a great list of "wants" we had for spring and fall 2021. I hope everyone had a chance to look through and help out a fellow NGA member. I tip my hat to you.

Splitting this off from the Fall 2021 "Want List" so we can all start thinking about our 2022 "wants" and "must haves". Smiling

I bought some of my fall "wants," but I couldn't find all of them, so when I posted about that, a fellow NGA member stepped up and shared some of his with me! I'm so grateful! They are all doing great, and I can't wait to see them bloom!

Here's what I am hoping to get next spring:

Mister Lucky (I wanted this last year, but every place I tried was sold out)
Linda's Magic
Blue Moon Rising
Nell Dean
English Lavender
Inner Destiny
Rose Emily
Night Wings
Sweet Seneca Double Pink Treasure
Sweet Seneca Glow
Willow Dean Smith (I'm on a waiting list for this one)
Zella Virginia
Elizabethan Rainbow Portrait (one of Brian Reeder's 2021 intros--will order when the price drops)
Spacecoast Sweet Plum Wine
Spacecoast Little Red Riding Hood

I have inquired about the last two from the hybridizer but have heard nothing back. From what I gather, that's par for the course. If I get several on my list, I'll be happy. Most of them have been around for awhile and are carried by multiple vendors.

I have my eye on a few others, but this list is already more than long enough!

My list is brief, mainly because I'm running out of room.

Lemon Rose
Charmaine
Frans Hals
Starman's Quest
Persian Pattern
Green Arrow
Possibly citrina and/or altissima

That should keep me out of trouble. 😉

Wups! Forgot one.

I bought Frans Hals from alilyfan in the Classifieds above several months ago. Maybe she could send it in the spring. I notice she also listed Citrina. Try sending her a tree mail. She sent nice, healthy clumps and was great to deal with.

If you are willing to cheat on daylilies, there is a Pink Poodle coneflower as an alternative:
https://www.michiganbulb.com/p...

For you, I also looked into the hybridizer Herrington-M. Her (assumption) last registration was in 1986. The daylily you want is from 1968, over 50 years ago.
You probably contacted one of the other Herringtons. Possibly her son (on his webpage he mentions his mother was a hybridizer), Herrington-T (Tim).

Yes I may consider using a coneflower in that area, had not thought of looking for an alternative flower. Thank you! I know the daylily is an older variety but still contacted the family since they do still hybridize and are active w daylilies I thought they may be able to locate it or give me some idea where to find it, but I did not receive any reply from my inquiry. It is quite possible it is entirely out of circulation and perhaps even that it no longer exists realistically.

@BeautifulRoots Thank you so much! I was able to get those and 6 others that caught me eye on her site. They aren't shipping until Fall '22, but at least that gives me something to look forward to.

My want list is for seeds. I want to stop buying and making them. All these seeds are making me a wreck. As for plants, Im just waiting for the spacecoast collection to see whats going on there. They are my best growers and have the least or no rust. Im sticking with what works. I always love the floyd cove daylilies but they are starting to look alot alike to me. My Favorite Martin...a dormant..is already gone from last year. I knew better and want to do better this year. I did send off for Hydra this morning Crossing Fingers! I was shocked to find it wasnt a dormant.
