I realized this morning that I need rose heart peony. Does anyone have this? Furthermore, can anyone recommend me where to buy it? I found it on one website but there seems to be no option on how to purchase. I will pay any price for it.
Regards,
RR

it's a little bit late for peony planting for many zones in North America, and I can't find a place or website which sells rose heart for myself as well.

but if you "will pay any price", the story might be different.

good luck, but I still recommend you to buy one the next year.

I bought mine from Gold City this year. I'm tempted if you are willing to buy at any price, just kidding.

Ruthanna, why don't you email Brooks or Adelmans? They both offer it quite regularly, and may be able to fulfill your desires. And if they can't, ask if you can be put on a waiting list. I always say it never hurts to ask.

Let us know if you find one.

You might consider 'Bess Bockstoce' as it is so similar that they are evidently mistaken for one another.

Top, they're really not similar at all but they shared a name at one time! RoseHeart starts out a dark pink and fades quickly and dramatically from the outside in, gorgeous! And Bess Bockstoce is a beautiful light pink double that really doesn't fade much at all.
Several of us have RoseHeart, it was sent to me as a bonus with my Gold City order this year as well. Was thinking that was quite generous as they're normally around $40-50 each but when I unwrapped it the root was in 3 small pieces…if it was planted here I'd gladly unearth one of the little roots and send it, I already have a large one somewhere, anyway, but it's in AL and I won't be back there until Dec.

Thanks for explaining that Liz! I knew that there had been some confusion in the past and got Bess from a vendor that sells both (but just planted it).

I was looking at Peony Shop Holland and they have Rose Heart, but no add to cart button, so maybe they are not available this year.

Peony Shop Holland does only 1 huge shipment to the states each year from the way it was explained to me, even for the minority that choose to not use the mass mail option. It's a huge amount of work to process the roots to go overseas so they won't do it more than once a year. Surprised that it's not open for in country sales though!

Interesting, they never listed Rose heart, that's why I had to purchase from Gold City.

Your right SoCal, I don't remember seeing it. Her response was below. I don't know if they offered them or are going to offer them.

Yes, it looks like they are going to offer it the first time. Good for you, Ruthanna, you don't need to wait the whole year!

Awesome news, and a great price Ruthanna! The ones that were offered in the Fall APS auction went for well over $100!

Now you have to find the perfect spot for it! Hurray!

So glad I bought mine for $50 from Gold City but I had to send a check, but shipping is free because I've already ordered a lot from Betty, so I paired it with one order.

I can't believe it, congratulations!

Adelman is really impressive, on both their flower and service.

I couldn't believe it either. I was expecting to be put on a waiting list, if anything, considering how late in the season it is. I've never ordered from adelmans so, I'm excited to see what they send. Unfortunately, tracking says it will arrive Monday and I'll be traveling to Atlanta for work. It will be a nice surprise for when I return.

Adelman's is the one grower that continues to sell and ship all the way through November. They're zone 8 so have a much bigger window than most and their roots are amazing, you won't be sorry you purchased from them!
I've said it before but can't emphasize enough, don't be disappointed when your Rose Heart first opens. It's a pretty darker pink double, the gorgeous fading starts on day 2 or so that it's completely open.
