I found this in what is called the Butterfly Garden at a local park. Check out the large, nearly spherical drop that has formed at the center of one of the blooms. It was acting like a miniature magnifying lens.

These are very showy plants. When I had them in my garden I called them my "glamour girls". The raindrop in the center is quite a capture.

A mysterious looking banner. And the plant, too, was a mystery to me--did not guess it was cleome. I love the raindrops!

Excellent image & banner, Elizabeth. Thumbs up
I just "discovered" cleome a few years ago, and they're
one of my favorites now.

They grow amazingly quickly once in the log phase,
becoming very robust (& prickly!) centers of attention.
They also reseed very well, and don't seem to have any
problems with disease or critters.
Learn and/or create something every day.
