I want to start collecting the old TB iris. I do belong to HIPS and will order some from them when they have the sale and I have ordered a few from Snowpeak, just need to figure out how the pay the by PayPal and will have that done.

Any other suggestions for finding some of the old ones? I reall want to start in the 1800s and work my way up but it seems that finding them from someone reliable is a little difficult.

Superstition Iris Gardens, one of the best growers around, carries a pretty large selection of historics

next year will have quite a bit more as holding and selling one of the hips boards while he relocates. I get them to use or sale and in return will send him when he gets settled one or two each.

Oh wow Dee, keep me in mind when that happens would you please?

Our local club has their sale in July here, so far there have not been any of oldies, it seems most people have gone to the more modern ones here.

In addition to those already mentioned, I can personally recommend Bluebird Haven (http://www.bluebirdhavenirisgarden.com), Blue J (http://www.bluejiris.com), and Matthews (no website). There are several lists of historic iris sellers floating around, one on the HIPS website. Sadly, quite a few sellers seem to have gone away in the last couple of years, though, and new sources spring up, too, so such lists are usually more or less out of date. The one at http://www.brightonparkiris.com/links.html is pretty helpful, as it is pretty extensive and also gives a little description for each source.

Good luck,
Brett
