This is another new one to me. Saw this beauty on Kermit's Flowers By The Sea website. Gorgeous color! ![]() ![]() https://www.fbts.com/salvia-mi... I'd grow it in a container, as it's not hardy here. ![]() |

Yes, I saw it at FBTS and it looks so pretty. This is another one on next year's list. What I will be doing in the future is evaluating several of our plants that haven't grown well, or that I have discovered I am not fond of. These will be removed. Then I will try to do a match of growing conditions with salvias. Those that have partial shade and get more water will require different salvias contrasted with those that need lean soil and less water. I am so hoping the salvias I have coming in next week will do well in the planting spaces I have chosen for them, if the weather will start cooperating. We have had freezes the past three nights with frost, and I am afraid tonight might be the same. However, the big warmup starts tomorrow, into the 70 degree temps and should last until sometime next week when we get another cooldown. That's when the salvias arrive, so I hope it won't be too cold to put them in the ground. |
Sounds great! I would love to have Salvias that are hardy to zone 7 and 8, be hardy here. ![]() |
I've been growing 'Stephanie' for a few weeks now and it's starting to bloom and the color is beautiful! I haven't had a chance to take any pics of my flowers, yet. I love it! ![]() ![]() |
