We downsized to this house three years ago. In y old one, I had beautiful large crotons. However, the ones I planted when we moved here have hardly grown one inch in three years!!!!! What could be the problem? I live in an area of St Petersburg Florida that has reclaimed water (same as previous house) and have sprinklers. Could it be the soil? HELP!!!

Hi! giwill, croton like a lot of water and will do better in partial sun in zone 9a. They are very slow growers. I recommend checking the pH of your soil as they like acidic (4.5 to 6.5) soil. Visit your closest Agricultural Extension where they can check your soils pH.

Thank you. I live close to salt water. I will have the PH checked.
