Still so sad I thought it started at 10:30 and only caught the Q&A! That five minute was pretty valuable though - cayenne and copper!
If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing!

Melissa, I'll be giving the same talk in Waco sometime this year, the exact date is still being worked on.

If you ever wanted to take a road trip, I think you'd really like my permaculture class I teach to the master gardeners every spring. It's a 3 hour class and is given in Rusk. I already taught this year's class, though, so the earliest would be March 2014.

Thanks for the update! I plan to participate in our local Master Gardener's program next year and am eager to transition some of this drive and interest into a more in depth knowledge. I am only in my fourth year of gardening and, as evidenced by my signature quote, have a long way to go before the ideals of permaculture are fully ingrained! Fortunately, my "do it all now" tendancies are balanced by the realization there has to be a better way than (trying) to beat nature into submission.

BTW, I am 100% certain I would have been too frightened to venture more heavily into gardening than a couple of tomato plants if it hadn't been for the online forums you have created. I've spent a lot of time "stalking" the forums for information and just now feel like I know enough to ask the right questions and even sometimes contribute. Gardening is the single biggest life changing experience of my adult life. Thank you!!

If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing!

Thank you for those kind words, Melissa, I really appreciate it. Smiling

Joining the master gardeners is something that I think you would really like and get a lot of enjoyment out of! You've got a lot of really nice people in Brazos county there!
