A great place to post all those "must have" daylilies you saw in the monthly bloom threads. Fall is a good time for shipping and planting. Smiling

Hoping that my daylily order of Crintonic Painted Desert and Tropical Fruit Fight will have fans large enough to ship this fall. I did jump the gun a bit and ordered Linda Gluck from Bedmaker--David--absolutely thrilled to know it will arrive this fall. This is a gorgeous picture of it.

The hit list of DLS being removed is growing so that means more new ones to order for fall Hurray! Hurray!

I will probably order a few more from Brian Reeder. I have several of his, and they have all been as advertised: no rust and good bloomers. He has one evergreen, Kaleidoscopic Evidence, that I will order in the fall and maybe one or two others.

I also will probably order at least one more from Ron Reimer, probably Malibu Sunset as it is an orange (which I want more of) and is more affordable than most of his.

I am thinking about trying one or two of Dan Hanson's. I am leaning toward Kara Louise and Sheila Beila.

Others I am looking for are Carlotta and Little Rosy Cloud. I also would like Irish Envy if I can find out anything about its rust resistance.

If anyone knows where to find Zella Virginia, let me know. I am also looking for Genesta.

Nan @DeweyRooter

Something to be aware of concerning 'Little Rosy Cloud'. In years of searching and attempting, I have been unable to obtain it. Every source has sent 'Little Pink Cloud', which is a wonderful daylily here as elsewhere- excellent branching, highly floriferous, reblooms reliably here in 6a.

I even ordered both LPC and LRC from a nursery which had BOTH listed. And received TWO Little Pink Cloud. I didn't protest. Likely they received LPC under both names - which I have, repeatedly. They planted them in different locations in the garden, maintained the different labels, and never noticed the two were the same.

Once, a visitor from Georgia walked by a flowering clump I had received as LRC and remarked "No need to look at that label - it's Little Pink Cloud.

It appears to me that all the images in the database here are probably Little Pink Cloud. I think the wrong daylily was nominated for, and won, an award recently from AHS.

If anyone has both growing side by side with clear differences in the colors I'd love to obtain the real Little Rosy Cloud! It's still on my want list!👍🏻

Pat, now you have me wondering about my Little Rosy Cloud! So hard to tell from pictures. I really like whichever it might be, blooms like crazy. I feel like mine has rebloomed too, which neither is listed as a rebloomer.

Thanks for the heads-up, Pat. Little Rosy Cloud was Daylily of the day, and the reviews made me want to try it. But it might be Little Pink Cloud that I was reading about. The pictures are really similar-looking. How can I tell which one I'm getting?

Probably won't add any this fall, the new ones I added this past spring, many of them are dying off/rotting, the heat and no rain has been devastating to many of my new plants this year. Crying

Sadly, I am having the same issues. Have lost 3 plants I purchased in the spring, some others don't look good.

I've lost 4-5 now so far, and about that many looking pretty sad, down to one tiny fan, probably will kick the bucket. At this point I can't decide if I should dig them up and pot them, just cover them w cardboard and hope for the best, or toss them as a loss. So frustrating.

@alikyfan and @Frillylily, We're seeing some of our new plants struggling and it looks like we might lose one or two. That's not supposed to happen "up here" in the middle 6 zones, is it? We've been having the same awful heat. Most of ours had to be potted on arrival. I'm pretty sure they'd be better off if we could get them planted in the ground. It's cooler.

Nan @DeweyRooter and Nancy @alilyfan I've found another nursery which is offering both 'Little Pink Cloud' and 'Little Rosy Cloud'. I'm going to try ordering both again. Their pictures of the 2 do look slightly different, so I'm hopeful. I won't be able to see them in bloom til next year now.

Well, I just placed my first order for fall, from Brian Reeder. I ordered five more of his rust-resistant cultivars.

Little Rosy Cloud has great bud count. It's one of the first to bloom in the spring. It's done well in daylily shows also.
