Hi! I live in Saskatoon, Canada, and I study fossil organisms there. However, my area of experience is in animal palaeontology, and I'm currently struggling to identify a plant fossil from a site I'm studying! I believe it is some kind of seed, adorned with many rows of knobs and raised patterns. I've seen similar seeds online from various species, but nothing seems to match! I've tried online seed identification keys, but photos are limited on the ones that work and one is currently inoperable. The fossil site is only about 10,000 years old at the oldest, so the species of plant that produced this seed is likely still alive and living in Saskatoon or somewhere else in North America. The seed is about 1 millimetre long and 0.8 millimetres wide. It's very important to me that I find out what type of plant this seed comes from if at all possible, as finding out could help me learn so much more about the ecology and environment of this site. If you have any questions, please ask! Thank you!
