My pleasure. : ) With a plant that is small enough to pick up, picking it up may be the best gauge of moisture. Right after thoroughly watering, it should feel heavier, vs. when the soil is dry. It's not good to gush water on a plant every day, but the catch phrase advice lately of "let it dry out" or similar seems to be causing some plants to be killed from drought. Letting the soil get literally completely dry is not a good experience for most non-cactus plants, and can be fatal for many of them. Although the needs can fluctuate from changes in temp, humidity, day length, most plants do best in a relatively consistent environment.
