Hello, new to gardening here in Pahrump NV. We started a very late garden this week and was wondering if we need to protect it from the cold?

There could be some vegetables or plants that may require protection, not only from your overnight lows in the lower 20s from December-February but also to frosts in spring. Can you list a few examples so someone can chime in?

Pahrump NV looks pretty far north...
I wouldn't expect to get tomatoes, but mustard greens, turnips should be able to produce something for you...
