Mine all rang up for $3.99 Blinking
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

That's correct. $3.99 for a 2 pack, or $2.00 each.

Easter cactus… beautiful colors. No price on them so cashier got a SKU they came up 2.99 each… I doubt that that's correct but I'll take it.

Good job, Rick! Clearly, I did not, but in my defense some of these are going to our front admin at work. I don't know why but I struggle with keeping the Easter cacti variety alive - so fingers crossed this works for me because my Thanksgiving ones all do well in my office.

Lidl has become a plant enabler!

My local leader now has an outdoor plant pen, mush like you see at HD & Lowes.

Currently, they have:
- Floral hanging baskets, both single variety and mixed
- Azalea
- Dogwood trees
- Tropical foliage
- 8-pack veggie market packs (Roma and Sweet pepper)
- Hosta
- Single veggie pots in 2 sizes
- Single floral pots

Right before I knew that DMV via Geico cancelled my driver's license, I went to LIDL, got 4 just arrived corn (you have to purchase at least 4 for $2.00). I also purchased 2 pots of Lavenders from Spain. I need to ament my soil first before I plant them in my front yard. They do not like fertile soil, they like sandy and porous soil, hate too much watering----I have clay that they also hate. I do have volcanic rocks that they like. No wonder that the ones I had purchased from HD died except on. I also bought 1 pink Rhododendron, and 1 bag of yellow Dalia roots (?) , 1 pot of pink Hydrangea, all in pots. They were each $8.99. They are in a 'gallon' pots. I think they are smaller than 1 gallon, but they call them gallon pots that my own root rose plants arrived when I ordered.

Yesterday went back to LIDL. They had lots of roses planted in pots. and other plants. I bought several dianthus. They also had lots of plastic pots of different sizes and in 3 different colors, and forms. Will go back today to get some pots. 15" for I think $3.99 including their matching trays? No space in my car last night. Round, long rectangular, beige, like clay color pots, and dark blue. Lots of plants too, they had Spanish lavender with long stems ($19.99) similar to 'tree roses', no regular potted Spanish lavenders that I hoped to find, because 1 of the 2 died that I have bought died, planted next to the other one....that is now growing. I wonder what I did wrong /different with the one that did not survived?

Even saw Passifloras at mine...pricey (for Lidl) but they had a couple of pots.

My Lidl has those black raised planters this week. The store manager transferred some from another store. If anyone wants any, let me know ASAP as they tend to go quickly.

I loved the way you had those along the outer edge of your deck! I have similarly sized railing planters that I love, but I think adding a tier of these as well would be... actually, I'm probably already at "too cluttered" when it comes to plants on the back deck ROFL. So, reluctantly, none for me unless I'm suddenly inspired. The Aldi stair-step shelves filled with WM self-watering windowboxes give me a ton of growing & propagating space!

LIDL sells East Coast hydroponic salad greens, which I prefer to buying lettuce trucked from the West, grown on scarce and dwindling water sources.
Plant it and they will come.

Lidl has a new variety of stollen this year... poppy seed. I figured I'd give it a try.

Notbad. I may have to get a few for the freezer for after the holidays.

Lidl has coppery bronze colored flatware this year (4-piece for 4). I'm thinking it will go nicely with my black dishes.

I may have to make a trip to Lidl to check out that poppyseed stollen. I will be in Annapolis tomorrow and can get it then.

Damn clearance racks!

I picked up a small, 8 or 9 inch, bamboo steamer. I don't recall seeing them prior to them hitting clearance. I also picked up a small spice/coffee grinder.

Several weeks ago, they had bags of dried mango bites in packs of 5. I tried them and liked them. Being in small packs meant not gorging myself on them. They too were on the clearance racks. Yep, into the cart they went.

Non-clearance, I got a pack of 10 1-cup containers for $3. They're great for things like apple butter and strawberry freezer jam, not to mention various other left overs.

I was tempted to get some raspberries and black berries. They're on for $2/6oz container. but resisted.

The thing that saves me from bulk bags (especially with nuts) is pre-portioning into snack baggies. Putting them in a bowl might also work, but it's too easy to refill that bowl. Somehow, getting another "entire" bag out feels different.

Agreed. These came in a 'master' bag of 5 packs. It way less tempting to have to open another bag, even if it is a small one.
