Vampire Slayer is a super strong plant. It was planted May 2021 here, I'm pretty sure only one or two fans. It bloomed in 2021 from June 4- July 10 with 27 flowers. That was super early as it was from Northern Lights and grown in a greenhouse. By October it was up to five fans.

In April of 2022, Vampire Slayer was at 6 fans. Then, last summer, Vampire Slayer bloomed from July 15-August 17 with at least 53 blooms photographed. There were probably more as I was gone some in August. Even after all that activity, and drought, it was up to 11 fans by April 2023.

It's a really beautiful plant, once it unbends and gets used to it's spot.

2023 update… this plant is a monster! This year, it bloomed from July 9- August 15 with at least 115 flowers counted. By October, it ended the season with 14 fans. That is what I call performance!

2024 update

After two solid years, Vampire Slayer took a step back this season. Beginning the season with a clump of 20, it bloomed from July 9- August 8 with 87 flowers. That's a lot but less than last year and also 11 days shorter. Also several of the early scapes were extremely short, only a few inches above the ground. It hasn't exhibited that behavior before. Also many of the early flowers were very blotchy. It took a while to get up to speed. By October, there were only 10 fans showing. I don't know if it was exhibiting early dormancy because of the drought, I'll find out next April. It occurs that maybe this plant will need division soon.
