What does everyone's Chick Charms Giants look like. Mine are starting to get ready for fall, even though I don't want to think about that yet.

Steel Appeal

Glacial Blue

This one has done ok for me but it never seems to get very blue. Maybe I'm the spring it will.

Copper Canyon

Emerald Explosion

Here is my contribution.

Steel Appeal - it has a nice hole in the middle from the massive bloom stalk it put out.

I can't wait for mine to have large colonies like that. My copper canyon has a bunch of offsets but steel appeal has less. I'm hoping that next year it really starts producing.

Unfortunately my CC Giants are in the furnace bed. Both 'Copper Canyon' and 'Steel Appeal' have remained healthy. Unfortunately the intense heat/sun has leached the color out of 'Copper Canyon'. 'Steel Appeal' bloomed, so I only have a few offsets left.
My observations tell me that 'Copper Canyon' is one tough semps, as is 'Steel Appeal'.
'Gold Mine' is a no go for me. There are some rosettes that are still alive, barely. I will not be keeping this one. Both 'Copper Canyon' and 'Steel Appeal' will be moved to the other bed this fall. They are keepers for me.

Looking good Nathaniel. Which one is your favorite right now?

I would say it's currently Maroon Mountain. I've been really interested in dark colored ones currently. I need them to balance out the bright one

Nathaniel, I agree with balancing color. Having a balance is what makes all of them more interesting.

I want to report that I have moved 'Gold Mine' to bed#1 from the furnace bed (bed#2). It is much happier now. It was an offset size this spring and has grown well in full sun in Bed#1. It is a medium size as of this fall. I expect it will grow much larger next year. I will be watching it through our winter/spring wet/cold season. Next spring will tell me if this is a keeper or not. Hopefully it won't suffer heavy winter/spring damage. I find it very attractive as of 10/11/2024.
