There are many Internet articles on "Peony Growth Stages" but strangely none of those show clear photos at each growth stage. Does anyone have a series of photos that show a Peony each quarter for the first four years of growth?

A photo series like that would be helpful in understanding peony growth. At one time I thought of buying several roots of the same kind and planting them in clear plastic bags buried to the right depth.
Then digging them up over the winter? And taking photos.
That experiment never happened……..and likely won't? LOL!

There are several articles online on Peony growth stages, but none of those has photos. The only ones with photos show the stages of bloom growth, not the stages of plant growth.
