Seen in September a few years ago in eastern Nebraska. I don't believe I've ever seen one like this one before.

Weird one. Could it possibly be a millipede? Any other pix?

I have other pics, but not from different angles. Just more of the same.

It does seem millipedey, but I think I count 3 pairs of legs with claws, and then a gap, then a lot of those legs with suckery feet. I think the legs will be important if we can see them clearly. Sawfly is another category with caterpillar ish babies.

Cutworm or army worm possible? The main problem is that there are so many stages in caterpillar development and they can look so different from one stage to the next.
