Thanks! It's been a really hearty, good grower for me here in Wisconsin. I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion. - Alexander the Great |

Lovely - I enjoy having this one, too. While the earth remains, Seed time and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease. Gen. 8:22 |
I love mine too, it's scrambling through a large climbing rose. |

Great picture! I have one and maybe it is in too much sun because some blooms look kind of shriveled |

I love this one too. It is a good clematis for my weather. |

Yes the shape is the same, just a bluer color. Very nice! I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion. - Alexander the Great |

I wonder if it's too late to order one of these 'Rooguchi'. I got a new trellis just so I could get a new Clematis, and I've decided on this one. |

I love Rooguchi -it is the longest blooming clematis I have. It is also quite hardy for me in my 5b zone. Clint - if you can get one, I would definitely recommend Rooguchi. |

It just keeps growing and blooming, growing and blooming. It's gotten huge this year, Maybe because I gave it some fertilizer? Or the high amounts of rain? But wow, it keeps going like the energizer bunny this year. I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion. - Alexander the Great |

I planted a Rooguchi this spring, but the vines didn't grow too much. It's blooming a bit now, but I was surprised that the vines didn't climb right up my trellis! Did it grow much for you in the first year? |

Well, it didn't do much the first year, just got established. But they are not a climbing vine, you kind of have to train them each year, and you cut them back to the ground in the late fall after they die back. Mine is a couple of years old now, it's more of a sprawling type, scrambling through a large rose bush, almost in continuous bloom now! Will be looking for another one to add to another rose. |

Here's a pic of my Avante Guard. I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion. - Alexander the Great |
Gorgeous, especially against that lime foliage! A sumac? |

I love Avant Garde. I got it from Bluestone and it is huge now. I was told that Rooguchi doesn't climb good. Is that true? The place I was looking says you have to tie it to the trellis. I hope others can clarify. |
