Hi folks,
Hope you are doing great.
I got some coleus seeds, i put them in a container with wet perlite, now, look these baby plants, so cute! I plan to grow them in water. But they are so tiny, what shall i do with them before they are big enough to be placed in a vase with water? Can they just grow like this on wet perlite? thank you.

Let them grow until the 2nd or 3rd leaf. The first leaf is usually the Cotyledons are the first pair of leaves plants grow from seed. These leaves may not resemble the mature plant's leaf shape. Cotyledons get their energy from the seed itself, which is why seeds and young sprouts don't need any plant food!

Thank you very much. i will just leave them there on the wet perlite then. I will wait till they get 3 leaves and then put them in water with hydroponic fertilizer. Thank you.
