Group plants based on their watering needs. Water intensive plants can be grouped for easy watering, and concentrated near the house for easy access. You will save water and time not dragging hoses around to water every planting bed. Drought resistant plants can be placed further from the house, and only watered occasionally during particularly dry periods.
