Living in a condo, I prefer my expandable hose. It seems to work very well, does not kink and collapses and shrinks when I turn off the water, making it smaller and easier to store.

Same here. Too bad the reviewer didn't consider expandable hoses. I need 75 foot hoses in my garden, and I don't have a lot of available space to coil them up when not in use. Expandable hoses shrink down to practically nothing when they are not full of water, are lightweight, and don't crush your plants as you're dragging around 75 feet of hose. It's true they only last a couple of years, but they're about the same cost as going out for dinner, so I don't see the need of considering it a lifetime investment.

I purchased my second expandable hose about 3 years ago. I needed a 100' hose and so far it's worked well. At $40 or so, if you're careful with it, it'll last a few years so I don't stress about having to replace it simply because it's a lot more convenient for this 70-year-old not to lug around and store a heavy hose.
