I received this peony as an "extra" when I purchased some peony starts several years ago. I absolutely love it, but can't quite narrow down an ID. It is an early bloomer in my zone 5b garden. Thanks for any information you can provide.
It's beautiful, but very hard to ID. If you have a peony garden you can visit, you may get to see some that look similar and you could investigate further.
Not all peonies are registered, and the reason you may have received it as an extra is that the grower had no idea what it is, and because of that couldn't sell it without a name.
