I didn't want to horn in on anyone's thread but lets see every ones summer containers. I just know there is more of you out there. I'm a bit behind and just finishing mine. Here's a few that have been planted for a few weeks.

They still need to fill in a bit.

So do I. It stays compact and the color is so beautiful. I have tried many of them in containers and this is the best for me here in the PNW.

Good thing to know. I have that one, Tasmanian Tiger, Ascot Rainbow and Rudolph. So far the only one that hasn't don well is the Ascot Rainbow.

I didn't do will with 'ascot rainbow' either. Never had the others, Tasmanian Tiger sounds like it gets big?

Wonderful colorful containers. The Red Disocactus really impresses me. I've never seen it before.

I don't know about you all but some of my containers are looking terrible. In the last few days the weather has been extremely hot and trying to keep them watered is next to impossible. The boxes of those beautiful Terracotta Petchea are now so ugly, no flowers, the silver is rotting in the center. There was all that rain and then 90 deg. heat and it was just to sudden a change for them. Lesson learned for future years. Those boxes do not have much room for medium and I think that is part of the problem. Can not blame it all on the weather, they can not grow if they do not have soil and space. Usually they have been beautiful no matter what I put in them. This year a complete flop after July 1st.

Oh Jacquie I am so sorry to hear that. I love those planter boxes.

That is so sad, it was so beautiful. I bet you know this but I'll share anyway. Next year you may want to add a bit of soil moist at the root line so you don't have to water so much. I use it and it helps later in the season when they get root bound. But what would I know about heat I live in Washington state, never get the heat like you do.

A beautiful container that's located near the hospital where I work.

Spring, this is the first year this has happened. But, we had extremely difficult weather to deal with for a month or more. I am not surprised. Just disappointed. I use the moisture control potting soil in those boxes and never had a problem, just watered when the others got water if it did not rain. The big green containers have coleus in and they are growing like weeds. i may just go with coleus in those boxes next year and see what happens.
These little Jasmine Sambac "Maid of Orleans" are loving all this heat and humidity. They do not like sun so I have them on the northeast side of the house and they only get morning sun, which these days is HOT. So far so good. The fragrance is outstanding when you walk to my door. I have them sitting close to where I scrub pots so I can enjoy them. I sit on my chair, scrub pots on the wagon and sniff, sniff and sniff some more.

Susan, I just love that last picture!! Are those purple with the white rim petunias? Your Sedona coleus is a beauty!!

Susan those are outstanding, I'm with Julia on that C. 'Sedona', it us stunning. I thing the pansies add a nice contrast.

Jacquie I can almost smell that jamine.
My daughter grows it in NM and it has done very well. Surprised me in the hot desert, sandy soil conditions.
