This is, 2023 Queen's Violet x Hear His Voice, first 2 repeats, last one FFE
First, favorite of this cross so far,

Next sib, looks a bit messed up today

Then FFE today on this sib, looks really messed up.

FfE on another 2023, a few days ago but cheating and putting it here
Northwood Tie Dye Artist x Ukn, first bloom a poly,

Thumb of 2024-08-02/Passionate4gardening/a042ce
Phone could not capture accurate color except when I took a pic of the back. Base color light lemon yellow that blends into light pink. Green throat.
Thumb of 2024-08-02/Passionate4gardening/f2d558
Could only set 2 pods on Northwood Tie Dye Artist last year as a new plant. Both tags faded. 2 different parents, with one possibility being Vineland L'uva. Having May May in its parentage, Vineland L'Uva is my best guess for this one. It will be interesting to see others from these x Ukn bloom. Hoping at least I planted and kept some from both pollen parents.

And 2022's,

Apricot Sparkles x Regency Heights
Thumb of 2024-08-02/Passionate4gardening/6cb18d
Note, not ivory, my phone really messes up color sometimes.
More accurate color on this pic but I was trying to capture the petal colors which seem to alternate pink, bluish / greenish gray and yellow. Could be due to shade and neglect though. Shrug!

What Char, no love for the third sib? Hilarious!

I'm not sure I exactly know what teeth are. Of course I've seen references and pics of some that are "toothy" or have teeth. I thought it looked like fringes. Still learning. Shrug! A bit of a surprise from the cross though.

I was more intrigued by the color. But it did interest me enough to put it in a bit of sun and start watering it.

K, S1-04 is nice, especially intrigued by the sepals. 23-HTYBRxEYE-04 I also find intriguing. Seems like those two should get together...

I've decided to plant more than the usual number of seedlings next spring, so some tough decisions are needed in order to make room. I'm starting by clearing some keeper bed room for new keepers...

Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/d1327c
These two older seedlings, which I will always respect and try to have a place for, must now concede their prime realestate to younger, more active, seedlings...

Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/b41f25
17-180 should do the same, but I'm on the fence. There is much that I like about the look of this one, even if it does tend to bloom a bit in the foliage. Feel like I need to make 1 or 2 crosses with it next year...

Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/8ca70e
19-74 is staying. One reason is above-average foliage. Another is the throat.
Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/7e74d7
I think the petals are actually more beige than yellow but the yellow streaming out rather nicely from the throat makes them look yellow. I have couple crosses in mind for it for next year..

Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/7eab0d
19-212 is staying. Was superior in handling being transplanted to quite a different setting.
Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/0e2023
I don't think it is quite a finished product but thrilled to work with it and excited about some seedlings coming from it starting next year-- hopefully they retain some of the cool toothing on the petal edge...

Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/a8142a
22-680 handled transplanting admirably and is definitely staying. This dip was my first step into the dip realm, breaking my long-standing rule. I've now got multiple dip seedlings. What have I done...

Second years (second bloom year) will get a tough cull. I've decided these two will help carry the flag for my relief sculpting side-project.
Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/22f5c1
22-246 looking this good is a testament to its fortitude. And its green throat has just got a little extra ooomph to it that I like...

Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/040943
22-672 also has some petal color issues that I feel can probably be overcome,
Thumb of 2024-08-03/Dennis616/034f1f
and the relief sculpting seems to me to be worthy of working with, and the edge has some real potential, and...

Much more work to do...

Hilarious! I was having a hard time with sib #3, K. Maybe it didn't like being left out, second bloom does look better!

Here's to You Bill Robinson x. Eyelash Kisses is very nice! The "toothy" thing I can vary from fringe to big teeth. That you have it on a diploid is the cool thing.

Doing the same thing here Dennis, thinning older bridge seedlings to make room for to put some newer ones. Figure if I haven't needed to go back to something in 5 years then it should go. I'm not sure we should ever "go back" anyhow, bridge plants should be moving us forward.
19-212 has a fun edge! Hope you can keep it in some of the sdlgs. I really like your relief sdlgs, nice relief, edges and green throats. Thumbs up

Tim, Nana Nance x Unknown, oh that's pretty with the watermark on all tepals. The seedling you sent me has been blooming away with huge perfect blooms. Nice plant on it too, 4 way and blooms are held perfectly above the foliage. Can't remember if you told me what the parentage was. Is it something you plan to register? Here's a couple images, the scape stretching on the right is it too.

I missed much of the past three weeks in my garden, but caught a few remaining seedlings in recent days, plus will sneak in a few late July blooming seedlings. All of these seedlings were from 2022 crosses, and bloomed for the first time this year.

Just a final comment. I went through the July and August seedling postings to see what I missed the past three weeks before I posted my seedlings above. So much diversity! But it struck me how so many different clones are being used by all of us pollen dabblers. Of the 70 or so clones I am growing, I didn't see more than maybe five(?) mentioned in these postings. Speaks to our varied interests, different gardening conditions and clonal adaptability of course, and how many good daylilies there really are out there. An infinity of genetic combinations possible.
