Thread OP

Good day all,

I am new to the site, having an issue with a Fatsia Japonica.
It began to droop a couple of weeks ago, so I decided to support the leaves a bit. If I remove the supports the leaves go almost completely limp.
The lower leaves are yellowing and falling off now.
I have been watering about once a week.
Too much water, too little water? Something else?

The window there is facing West, and I close the shade after a few hours of sun. There is also a North-facing window just to the right of the plant, which provides indirect light all day.
The planter has holes in the bottom and a catch.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have decided to start watering it more often...not sure if this will lead to root rot, etc (or maybe if that's the reason it's already looking sickly), but hopefully it will begin trending in the right direction.
Again, any feedback would be just dandy.

Despite more frequent watering, leaves are continuing to yellow>blacken, and drop off, from the bottom. I'm really not sure what to do.
