I would love to give Bird Talk a great review... but I can't. I have had it in the gardens for a total of (3) summers, having planted it in the spring of 2022. It did not bloom the first year, not uncommon here, so I was fine waiting for the second year.

Last year, it did bloom ... on short scapes, and not a lot of buds. But last year was not a good garden year, with poor weather and weeks of intense smoke coming down from Canadian wildfires. Many plants did not do well last year. So I was really hoping to see an improvement this year.

Well, 24-inch scapes are the stats, and it did manage to reach that range in height. But the bud count (which is listed at 25) was low ... about half what it should be. The blooms are pretty, but I need to move this plant to a location where it will be more visible and perhaps perform better. Otherwise, this is one of the few daylilies in my gardens that I am willing to pass to someone else and replace with a more interesting daylily. At this point, I am sorry to say that I would not recommend it.
Life is what happens while you are making other plans.

A very pretty flower, but also a poor performer. These pics are from 2022. I had purchased it in 2020. The scapes were like 12-15 inches tall and not many flowers.

This is this year, still not reaching height or bud count, but a very pretty flower.

Have had this daylily for many years and is the only Lambertson in my garden, some years it gets to the registered height and some years not. Does not get to the bud count but it is a Florida hybrid and none from that far south ever really do, but I have gotten some rebloom out of it once in awhile. It is a pretty flower but as I am in downsizing mode this one will not make the cut
