a bit of fog this morning then mostly cloudy all day. The little bit of sun felt good while I worked outside. Tomorrow I'll catch up on more stuff inside since it's suppose to be chilly, damp, cloudy with showers, yay! Then more rain overnight and on Thursday. Hoping for at least an inch. Temps today were 42 & 66. The leaves are starting to change in some areas of the river valley. The mountains should be at peak this weekend into next week.

Green edged Petunia

So by noon it was 102 with 24 mph wind. I finally gave up on the yard work. Tooooo hot.

Yuck Linda. I had the opposite, I came home tired from teaching but it was so nice out, I spent a few hours doing garden clean up.

Ouch Ginny. It's surprising how sharp those plant markers can be.

The rain didn't amount to much here, but it rained Only .10" fell so far today but we have more coming tonight and tomorrow. Could see as much as 2" by tomorrow afternoon/evening. Temps were 46 & 57. When you add in the dampness it was a cloudy, chilly fall day. Yesterday I got a starter for a ciabatta going and baked that this afternoon to warm the house a little. DH cleaned the chimney/stovepipe when he got home... I started the woodstove after dinner. Feels pretty good!

I've been watching the news and weather off and on today. Thoughts are with everyone in the path of Helene. The storm looks like it will turn into a monster so please stay safe.
